Croatian Island Cruising, Dubrovnik Discovery

What do you get if you mix Venice with the Greek Islands, add a dash of Austro-Hungarian history, and stir in some crystal waters, pine forests and gorgeous beaches?

For a cruise you'll never forget, start by forgetting those giant liners crammed with casinos, arcades and cinemas. This is seafaring the old-fashioned way, Dalmatian-island-hopping with the wind in your face on a small 20-cabin motor or motor sailing ship, anchoring in small harbours and sunlit bays, swimming and snorkelling in turquoise waters and exploring Roman and Renaissance landmarks. All cruises include flights and transfers, half board, en-suite cabin and Croatian magic as standard.

Sunday: Travel to your chosen airport for your flight to Dubrovnik, where you will be transferred to Gruž port. Dinner is on board and the ship will stay in port overnight.

Monday: After breakfast we set sail to Mljet Island National Park with lunch on board. You can visit the old abbey, or hire a boat to go round the lake. Bicycles are also available for hire. Overnight at Mljet.

Tuesday: We continue from Mljet to Korčula Island. We take lunch on board at Lumbarda Bay, arriving at Korčula in the afternoon. Overnight in port.

Wednesday: We make the short crossing from Korčula to the islet of Šćedro, and then continue to Hvar Island for the afternoon and overnight.

Thursday: On to Trstenik on the Pelješac peninsula, home of the best regional wines. Lunch is on board. Explore the coastline or wander into the famous Grgić winery for a spot of delightful wine-tasting.

Friday: Trstenik to the Elafiti Islands, stopping at Šipan. Lunch on board.

Saturday: Early departure from Šipan to Dubrovnik with breakfast en-route. On arrival, join the included guided walking tour of Dubrovnik. Captain’s dinner in the evening. Sunday: After an early breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight home
